Rediger Family Update

In case you missed our update we want to share with you how God has been at work in the Rediger family. We have felt God calling us to move to Utah county to make disciples and plant churches. God has been growing a burden in us for the need in Utah county, an area that is 95% Mormon and only 1% Christian. Paul’s words in Romans 10:13-17 resonate deeply to us “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” As we have recently been in prayer about the need and the burden God has placed on our hearts, my wife and I felt God calling us to go. In the midst of fear, doubts, worries, and reasons not to go we felt God speak to each of us individually “Do you trust me?” God seemed to be asking us to step out in faith and trust his promises and leading in our lives. We have been in prayer with close friends and family sensing God’s leading and direction to call us to move to Utah to be missionary church planters.We are going to Utah County to bring the hope of the Gospel to the least reached Metro area in America. This is an unreached area and an unreached people group here in the middle of the U.S. Utah County is lacking churches and believers to share the Gospel where the majority of the population has been deceived into a false gospel. This weighs heavy on our hearts.We feel burdened for the people in Utah county who are living under the crushing weight and oppression of trying to earn the love of God through religious works, all while claiming to know Jesus. While claiming the name of Jesus, they have not come to know and accept the gracious and forgiving work of Jesus that comes from faith alone. We long to see people enjoy and experience the saving and rescuing love of Jesus as they hear the good news of the Gospel and respond in faith.Please be in prayer for us as we prepare, plan, and pray for how God is calling us and leading us. As Missionary & Church planters we are going to reach the lost, disciple believers, and plant churches. The plan is to move to Utah county in the fall and begin the process of preaching the Gospel, making disciples, and planting churches. Our hope and our prayer is that this would not be us leaving, but us being sent out to bring the hope of the Gospel to an area that desperately needs to hear it.
