At Hope, we know that loving your neighbor can take many forms. Sometimes it is partnering financially; sometimes it is giving material items. It can also be a gift of your time. If you feel led to contribute your time and talents to providing the services of Hope Pregnancy Clinic, we invite you to consider one of the following positions.

Hope has a great need for volunteers in the following areas:

  • Advocates to work with Hope medical staff at the Clinic, providing options counseling and other support to our patients. Advocates serve a regular weekly four-hour shift. We are looking for volunteers who are highly discerning, full of compassion and great listeners.
  • Mentors to meet with a patient for one hour a week in Hope’s Parenting Initiative. Mentors may see more than one patient per week, depending on availability and need. We are especially in need of mentors who are bilingual and/or who have availability weekday afternoons (4-7 pm).

Advocates and Mentors will go through a 2-3 week training as well as shadowing staff and on-the-job training. Our next training will occur in mid-February so applications are due by January 27th.

Process: Once you submit your application, you will be contacted about an interview. At the interview, you will receive more information about the position(s) and the requirements, and we will get to know you better. If, at the end of the interview, it is mutually agreeable that the position will be a good fit, you will be invited to attend training.

Hope also has a great need for:

  • Custodian(s) to clean the Clinic building once a week. The schedule is flexible. Position would begin in February 2025.

If you are interested in any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact Beth Maurer by calling 503-364-2464 or by emailing beth@hopeforsalem.org.

Do you know of someone who would be a good fit for one of these roles? Please forward this information.
