Acts 11:1-18
God at Work: The Story of Acts

This week's message from Pastor Josiah took us through Acts 11, where Peter is criticized for entering a Gentile's house and eating with them. Pastor Josiah reminded us that sometimes, like the early Christians, we might judge others without understanding God's broader plan. He emphasized how God can use repetition to get through to us, especially when we're stubborn or fearful. Pastor Josiah encouraged humility and grace in our interactions, just as Peter showed humility by explaining why he broke tradition after seeing a vision from God. The crux of the message was about how God welcomes everyone, not just the Jews, and if He accepts everyone, who are we to exclude or judge others? He left us with the thought that if all of us Gentiles have been offered this gift, we should eagerly share God’s love with others, embracing a child-like faith that doesn't fear criticism. Let's remember that God's plans will always succeed, and we can choose to be part of His inclusive love.
